§ 37-4. Residency requirement.

  • A. 
    The person elected to the office of Township Secretary shall, unless removed in accordance with § 37-3, or unless said person resigns, serve until his successor is elected and qualified.
    B. 
    The Township Secretary need not be a resident of the Township or of the State of Pennsylvania at the time of his appointment, but as soon as possible thereafter, he shall become, and during his tenure as Secretary shall remain, a resident of the Township.
    C. 
    No Board member shall either be appointed as Township Secretary during the term for which he was elected or appointed a Board member, or be appointed within one year after the expiration of said term.
